The Allegri Quartet is one of the oldest British chamber music ensembles in existence, going back to its foundation in 1953. It comprises Ofer Falk and Rafael Todes (violins), Dorothea Vogel (viola) and Katherine Jeninson (cello).

The Quartet are recording the complete cycle of Beethoven String Quartets and have asked to play two as part of their preparation: the Haydn-like Op.14 and the mid-life Op.59
