This is a very welcome return of an outstanding quartet. Gina McCormack's advent in the summer 2008 as their new leader has been greeted with enormous enthusiasm. A hugely experienced and respected performer, she needs no introduction on the Chamber Music circuit. The Maggini's commitment to new music has led to a number of important commissions, but they have also recorded widely and their Haydn Op. 33 recording has been awarded maximum ten star-rating.
