MWSAS was much in James Lisney's debt when, as accompanist in February 2009, he arranged for Patricia Rozario to stand in at the last moment for the stricken Emma Kirkby.

His own career, which has taken him throughout Europe and the Americas, well qualifies him for a programme to mark the bicentenaries of the births of Chopin and Schumann.
